Everyday make up!

For an everyday make up routine I will start by applying MAC Pro Longwear foundation in the colour NC25 with the Real Techniques buffing brush all over my face. I will then cover up my under eyes and any blemishes with the MAC Studio Finish Concealer in the shade NC30. To set all this I will use my trusty (and very affordable) Natural Collection Powder in the colour 'cool'. I then contour my face with the Revolution Ultra Bronze and Real Techniques Contour Brush and then use a bigger powder brush to brush the bronzer all over the rest of my face. To finish off my face I put some Natural Collection Blush in the colour 'Peach Melba' to the apples of my cheeks.
For my eyebrows, I use the Real Techniques Brow Brush and the MUA Pro-Brow Ultimate Eyebrow Kit. I begin with dipping my brush into the gel and placing that over my brows to act as a base for the eye shadow. I then use the lightest brown colour in the palette to fill in any sparse areas and create the desired shape that I want. I have quite naturally thick eyebrows so this step doesn't take too long for me.
Moving on to eyes, I go rather simple and easy and I apply a tiny bit of the bronzer I used earlier into the crease of my eyes with the Real Techniques Base Shadow Brush. I then use the Top Shop Kohl Eyeliner pencil and put it above my upper lash line to make it look thicker and underneath two thirds of my lower lash line to add some definition. After, I use Real Techniques Accent Brush to smoke this out along my lash lines. I then curl my lashes and apply one coat of Miss Sporty 24h Pump Up Booster Waterproof Mascara. Once this has nearly dried I go over the top with my MAC Zoom Fast Black Lash mascara to add so much length.
Lastly for lips, I use my MAC Matte lipstick in the shade 'Honey Love'.

This make up look is so simple to do and takes hardly any time at all.
Hope you enjoyed,
Ella xx

1 skirt 3 ways

It's that time of the year again where people have spent all their money on Christmas presents for family and friends (or for themselves in the sales). Here I am going to show 3 different ways you can style a black skirt. The one I used was from Topshop. I hope you enjoy and find it mildly useful!

Outfit 1. Street chic

So in this first outfit I have paired the black skirt with a white H&M 'The New Icons' t-shirt. The shoes I have added are some black chunky caged sandals. I then added a black chunky necklace with gold detailing for an extra edgy look from Primark. Pair this with big sunnies and big black handbag for a glam celeb inspired street style look, or keep it cool and edgy with a black satchel.

Outfit 2. Keeping it simple and pretty

For this outfit I tried to keep it simple and elegant by pairing the skirt with a strappy white top with beautiful pearl detailing around the top from New Look. The key feature to this outfit however is the Primark coral peep toe shoes. I love these shoes so much as they automatically make an outfit look more sophisticated. The necklace I added was one from Matalan which brings together the top nicely as its the same white colour with gold hardware.

Outfit 3. Rock chick

This outfit by far is my favourite as I am a sucker for all in black, rock outfits. So for this, I teamed the skirt with a black bralet from New Look which has beautiful detailing of gold studs around the top and a gold zip all the way down the front which I think adds quite a sexy feel. The black Chelsea boots are also from New Look and they really add to the edgy, rock theme. I layered up a black and gold chocker with a gold necklace and of course no rock chick outfit is complete with out a black leather jacket.

So there are my 3 different ways to style a black skirt. I really hope you enjoyed this post.

Getting away - Switzerland

All my exams are over and I am now on my summer holiday, so me and some friends decided that we wanted to go away somewhere for a few days, so we decided to fly out to Switzerland to Geneva where my sister lives. We flew out on the Sunday and came back on Wednesday.

It was really nice to just get away from everything at home and just relax. When we were there it was so amazing because we just didn't have a care in the world and were just so at ease. My three friends all had a lot of stress at home to do with relationships, family, exams and other things and I think they really appreciated the mini break away as they felt much calmer and relaxed.

Day one
We arrived in Geneva at about 10 so we had most of the day to do whatever we wanted. There was a music festival on in one of the parks so we went there in the afternoon. It was really lovely and it was nice weather so that made in 10x better!
There were loads of types of music there from rock to pop, to reggae to rap. It was full of lots of activities and things to see and things to do and it was just a really lovely way to start of our little trip.
In the evening my sister bought ingredients to make pizzas so that is what we did!

Day two

Our second day in Geneva was very relaxed. We went to the lake and just took a walk round it and had something to eat at a nice cafĂ© looking over the lake which is so so pretty!
This is a picture of lake Geneva with the fountain in the background. I think the fountain is the, or one of the tallest water fountains in Europe which is pretty cool!!
We made a lot of friends with the ducks and swans in Geneva - we watched the ducks and swans for about 20 mins. They are really hypnotising to watch haha.
This is me and two of my best friends (all looking like idiots) heading out for the evening. We then came back, had some drink and played cards and chat till 5 in the morning!

Day three

We went to lake Geneva again but this time we went on the pedlo boats and they were so much fun! They were probably my highlight of the holiday. We all got the giggles on it and it was just such a laugh and I really enjoyed it!
We then went to the man made beach on lake Geneva just to relax, listen to music and read.
This are my best friends who I went to Geneva with. Left to right (Emilie, Jo, Hayley)

On our last night we went out again and this is a picture of Jo, Emilie and myself.

All in all, I had an amazing time and it was so good just to get away from everything happening in England and just have a good time and enjoy ourselves! Geneva is such a beautiful place and recommend it to anyone! I hope you have enjoyed reading about my little trip!

Prom 2013

Last week I had my prom with all my school friends and it was so much fun! I wasn't looking forward to it that much (People had told me that prom is rubbish) and I couldn't really be bothered to go, but as soon as I got to pre drinks at my friends house I knew that it was going to be a great night!

It started off at one of my best friends house where all of us got together with our prom dates and parents and took lots of pictures (Will attach some) It was very chilled and was nice to see everyone and just mingle and have a chat!

We then got a bus to the venue (Shendish Manor) It was an absolutely beautiful place and the gardens were stunning with water fountains and gazebos! We went and spoke to other people and just chit chatted for a while. We then went inside and listened to the DJ and had a bit of a boogie and then got a bite to it (the food wasn't too great though) and then got back onto the dance floor and danced the night away!

It was such an amazing night and I had so much fun! :)

New bedroom!!

3 years after my sister moved out, I have finally moved from my old little bedroom into my new bigger bedroom!!

It has taken me so long to find furniture that I like and how to design my room, but finally we are getting there!

I have decided to go for an old Paris sort of theme, so my room is whites and creams with greys and browns  to make it look more old and vintage! I love everything I've got so far - I think its all so beautiful and looks so amazing! All that's left to do is put a few shelves up so I can put all my little ornaments and candles on!

I am so excited for it all to be finish but in the meanwhile, here are some pictures of what I've got so far,
Enjoy! :)
